I'm Taking My Talents to Northern Wisconsin-2010/11 NBA Preview

Let's dive right in, I only do this to prove how right I am at the end of the year:

South East:
1)Heat-No one can touch them this year, sorry. If healthy Lebron will set a new standard

4)Charlotte- I love Raymond Felton so I believe his loss will hurt more than they think
5)Washington- One of the best backcourts in the league, love Wall and Hinrich, need to trash Gilbert tho

Central:
1)Bulls-Will start slow but once Boozer is back and Rose gets used to play with the other new additions they will be fine

2010 NFL Season Predictions!

Finally it's time to make some predicitions about the upcoming NFL season. Let's start with some things I think I know for a fact.

  • Favre will start week 1 for the Vikings.
  • Sam Bradford will be destroyed behind the atrocious O-line the Rams have.
  • LT, Westbrook, and every RB on the Deadskins are finished.  Did the people that still believe in them watch any of their games last year?
  • Roy Williams will outproduce Dez Bryant
  • Not sure if this is a real sleeper but Dolphins will be good and probably win their division.
  • Jermichael Finley will be the best TE in the NFL this year.
  • NFC will dominate the AFC all year then in the Superbowl.
  • Colts will NOT win 12 games this year.
  • Jaguars might also surprise some.
  • The Lions will go 3-3 in division.
  • Broncos are going to be awful, last place in their division is a real possibility.
  • Ravens defense is way overrated, Bengals and Steelers have far superior Ds.
Now for division predicitions:

5 thoughts of the moment

  • Anyone else think Amy Poehler is hot?
  • Lebron will be a New Jersey Net, from worst to first isn't too hard if they have Bron, Brook Lopez, Devin Harris, Terrance Williams, and either John Wall or Evan Turner.
  • Does anyone actually know someone who goes to or went to Everest Institute?
  • I actually learn things when I read Maxim Magazine
  • Saints will NOT win their division, and may even miss the playoffs.

March Madness is upon us!

Before I say anything else I'd like to make my early and definitive picks for the National Title, Kentucky over Purdue. I actually do like the Cuse to make it to the final 4 but I just feel like they're going to disappoint at some point and not that I'm rooting for that but of course I kinda am haha. My Michigan boys fell way off this year so I have to root for or against someone. And what's with New Mexico being ranked 8th? Has there ever been a year when you thought only 3 teams could possibly win the whole thing? I give Kentucky, Kansas, Cuse a shot at the title, and nobody else. Duke? Don't make me laugh. Kansas St? Nice season but no dice. Purdue is my title loser only because it seems like every year the Big Ten offers up a team to be annihilated by a superiorly athletic team, just like football. That's all I got really right now, comment your predictions or your crazy Cuse love because you just jumped on their bandwagon this year.

NFL Mid-Season

Happy Veterans day everyone out there. I thought it would be nice to honor John Kerry, one of our nations greatest veterans, by flip flopping on my original NFL predictions. Every team has now played at least 8 games so that means we are more than half way through the NFL season and yours truly, Mike Fly, has some awards and revisions to make. Since I am at home recovering from Pig flu or whatever the news likes to call it, I have had some extra time to get these right. Enjoy because I know my NBA picks are right on.

Awards: (Half way through the season not how I think they will be in the end)
Biggest Surprise Player: Cedric Benson- How has he stayed clean/healthy and run well up to this point?
Biggest Surprise Team: Denver Broncos-Yeah surprise so far but they're about to bust so who cares
Biggest Disappointment Player: Albert Haynesworth- Hey, when you're brought in for that much money, a for sure last place finish is unacceptable.
Biggest Disappointment Team: For me obviously the Giants who can't do anything right but they are still in the race and will be for the rest of the season (even though they won't go anywhere). The Titans aren't that disappointing because any team that has to choose between Vince Young and Kerry Collins is in trouble. I would have to go with the Green Bay Packers-the Wizzer, Sports fella or whatever he calls himself on our site predicted them to go to the Superbowl as did many other clowns. Aaron Rodgers is not Brett Favre, hell he's not even Craig Nall; he holds the ball for too long and his great receivers make him look better than he is. Either way people thought he would be and he's letting them down.
Coach most deserving to get fired: Eric Mangini/Dick Jauron
Most over hyped player: Michael Vick-no surprise there
Most over hyped team: Philadelphia Eagles- no surprise again (somehow not the cowboys this year yet anyways) sorry just saw them lose to Cowboys in ugly game. McNabb/Reid can't coexist, neither one is smart enough to run the offense.
Best Addition: Hurts me to say this, it really really does, and I will go on the record to say he will fail before the end of the year AND use an injury as the excuse so we will think he is tough......Brett Favre
Worst Addition: Terell Owens, just pointless and not nearly as fun as I thought it would be. Chris Canty is a close runner up.
Rookie of the Year: One of the great receivers has to win between Harvin, Maclin, Crabtree, Knox, Nicks and Britt (excuse the ones I am forgetting) but my pick is with Harvin for changing the Vikings Offense.
Comeback Player: Cedric Benson (see surprise)
Coach of the Year: Josh McDaniels- he has managed to go through all the drama in his first few months and still come out 6-0 at one point.
Defensive Player of the Year: Jared Allen- he is all done playing the Packers for the season so this could change.
MVP: Peyton Manning, barley edges out Brees and Big Ben but we are watching the greatest player ever dominate with an offense that is largley made of unknowns.
Revisions: I would like to just say that I predicted the Saints would beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl back in August, that still looks good to me now!
AFC East, West South: Keep all the same except I think the Broncos will be the 2nd wildcard instead of the Texans.
AFC North: Flip Flop the Ravens and the Bengals as the Bengals will be the first Wild card in the AFC.
NFC East: Switch the top 3: Eagles will win the division at 11-5, Cowboys will finish 10-6 and get the first wild card with the Giants finishing 9-7 which will be good enough for the 3rd wild card
NFC North: I was way off with the Bears, Vikings run away with this division with no problem; no one else comes close to the playoffs.
NFC South: Stick by my predictions except the Falcons will finish at 9-7 to finish tied with the Giants but the Giants will have beaten them head to head.
NFC West: As I predicted no one will care about the NFC West and the winner will get destroyed in the playoffs. I hope you have enjoyed my revisions because remember, if I put it on the site, it has to be right.
My next article will be about how Michael Jackson is the most over rated person alive.....yes that child molestor is still with us so stay tuned.

NBA Prediction

OK so I am out of hibernation and ready to make some NBA style predictions because lets face it, I have been right on just about everything I post on this site so far.

Eastern Conference (Conference standing in Parenthesis)

Atlantic Division

1) Boston(1): As far as I'm concerned they were the team to beat last year until Garnett got hurt. Add Sheed to the mix and they are unstoppable.

2)Toronto(3): I love their starting lineup as of right now with the addition Turkoglu and Derozan to Bosh and Calderon. Reggie Evans and Jarret Jack are great bench players.

3)Philadelphia(9): This is an up and coming team with Holiday, Spreights and Young playing with AI and Brand. They should be in the race for a playoff spot until the end.

4) New Jersey (13): Courtney Lee, Brook Lopez and Devin Harris are solid building blocks into the future but right now they just don't have enough depth.

5) New York (15): Worst team in the conference, period. Lee and Chandler are good players wasting their careers away in NY but the rest of the team is trash. One more year until Lebron.

Central Division

1)Cleveland (4): Lebron is all this team has going for them and they will realize it this year. Awful coaching will not be able to solve the problem of having the 2 slowest centers in the league on the same team. Lebron can carry them to a division title but not much further.

2) Chicago (7): No one knows exactly how the Bulls will do this year. Can Deng replace Gordon's 20 pts. a game? I think so and I also think Noah and Rose will come into their own as they will be a threat all year.

3)Indiana (10): Granger is highly underrated and this team has great role players in Murphy, Dunleavy and Hansbrough.

4)Detroit (11): Why did this team spend so much money on Villenueva and Gordon before the summer of 2010? No one knows. Their best players are still Hamilton and Prince. This team's window has closed

5)Milwaukee (12): Young team that will struggle all year. Should be interesting to see how Brandon Jennings blends in with Scott Skiles.

Southeast Division

1)Orlando (2): Not thrilled with them going with VC over Turkoglu and Lee but they should still be great with the return of healthy Nelson.

2)Washington (5): IF IF IF Butler and Arenas stay healthy then Flip Saunders will get a lot out of this talented team. If not than this team will finish at the bottom of the conference again.

3) Miami (6): Dawayne Wade is surrounded by a lot of question marks on this team but I think he is good enough to get them to the playoffs in his last year in Miami.

4)Atlanta (8): Horford will break out this year to become one of the premiere big men in the league.

5) Charlotte (14): Felton is a solid PG and Gerald Wallace is nice but Tyson Chandler is a downgrade from Okefor as this team will tank again.

Western Conference

Northwest Division

1)Portland (3): Great team especially if Oden can finally develop. Solid PG in Andre Miller will help spread the ball between Roy and Aldridge.

2) Utah (5): This team has great depth and Deron Williams is arguably the best PG in the league. Question is what to do with Boozer as Milsap seems to be taking his place.

3)Denver (6): Powerful team with no character at all. With this many headcases and "Thugs" on the same team something is bound to go wrong.

4)Oklahoma City (8): Durant has established himself as a top 5 player in the league and Harden, Green and Westbrook will all develop into solid role players.

5) Minnesota (12): Up and coming team. I really like their big men in Love and Jefferson while Flynn and Sessions provide stability at the PG.

Pacific Division

1)L.A Lakers (1): Still the team to beat, especially with the addition of Artest and a healthy Bynum.

2)Phoenix(9): Time to rebuild....Nash is getting too old to carry the team by himself. Amare can carry the team if he stays healthy all year which is doubtful.

3)Golden State(10): Curry should make things interesting and there are solid role players in Azibuke and Biedrins but not much else going for this team.

4)Sacremento (13): Kevin Martin is the best player in the league that is off the radar for most fans.

5)L.A Clippers (14): Hopefully Griffin will be healthy this year because if he is, he should be the rookie of the year.

Southwest Division

1)San Antonio (2): Duncan is still solid and Dejuan Blair is one of the few rookies that can come in and play right away to give him some rest. If all goes well, this team can compete with anyone

2) Dallas (4): Sean Marion is a nice addition and will fit in well with the fast pace tempo of this team.

3) New Orleans (7): This team doesn't excite me as much as it once did but Chris Paul will still find ways to get his team points when it matters.

4) Houston (11): Ariza is a step back from having Artest and with the disappearance of T-Mac and the injury to Yao, this team is going nowhere fast.

5) Memphis (15): With Rudy Gay and Allen Iverson, this team may be the most selfish and over rated team ever. Worst team in the NBA this Year

Finals: L.A Lakers over Boston Celtics

Awards:

MVP: Kevin Durant

Coach of Year: Flip Saunders

Defensive Player: Dwight Howard

Sixth Man: Lamar Odom

Rookie of the Year: Johnny Flynn

Most Improved Player: Andreas Bargnani

Quick notes on week 1 of the Moon League Fantasy Football!

To be the biggest blowout of the week, not good. I think I'm lookin at 0-2, might be a rough season for me. Only time will tell I guess.

Quick Notes:

The Last place team last year got off to a huge start with help from Brees and Eagles D, thats really all they needed. Lucky Pierres had a solid week but solid wasn't working this week. Good job Mrs. Lady thats in this league. Statistical fact: Mrs. Manning scored the least points in week 1 last year, and the most in the league this year. That may not mean a whole lot since Jigglyqballs held that distinction of points leader after 1 week and ended up in the bottom of the league with Mrs. Manning. This rivalry is now knotted at 1-1.

The Love Canal Mutants were downed in week 1 by North America's Team for the 2nd straight year. This is beginning to be a trend as North America's Team has now downed Love Canal Three straight times. Love Canal has to be dumbfounded at this stat. This rivalry is at 3-0 North.

Penguin Brigade came out huge with help from his Patriot boys. This was a rematch of week 1 last year which was taken by Jigglyqballs in huge fashion as noted earlier. Penguin Brigade got the huge victory this time. This Rivalry is now 2-1 Penguin Brigade.

TO Ft. The Bills or as they were known week 1, Adrian Peterson Ft nobody. Throw The Baby got pretty much nothing from anybody, just a couple solid performances not helped by no production from the RB position. After a 1-5 start last year TO Ft. the Bills looks to start where they left off last year, when they went 5-2 down the stretch and just missed the playoffs. TO Ft. The Bills leads this new rivalry 1-0.

And lastly the Rematch of the championship was won decidedly by the runner up Not in the Balls. Even with not having AP on his team, The Balls still won by almost 30, and MJD was by no means a disappointment. Somehow 2 guys that havent been fantasy or reality relevant in 4 years Matt Hasselback and J-Shock had huge games against much lesser opponents. That won't happen every week, you are going down this week Paradise!!!

Thats it guys, tune in next week if I get bored and write this shit again haha,

Vince

The Moon League 2009 Preseason Rankings!

**Updated to add Bench Now**

I'm using an elaborate scoring system I thought up today to Rank everybody.
QBs: Great = 10 pts Good = 7 mediocre = 5 awful = 3
RBs: Great = 14 Good = 10 Mediocre = 7 awful = 4
WRs: Great = 14 Good = 10 Mediocre = 7 awful = 4
TEs: Great = 8 Good = 6 Mediocre = 4 awful = 2
Defense: Great = 5 Good = 3 Mediocre = 1
Bench: Great = 5 Good = 3 bad = 1
Kickers : Don't Care

Bucsfan: The Reigning champion had an interesting draft, starting off with some great picks but sort of tailing off and ending up with what is a boom or bust sort of team. We'll see how it works out.

QBs: Phillip Rivers, 8 pts since he is very close but not quite elite and having no backup is somewhat odd.
RBs: 11 PTs, since the starters are exceptional, but very poor depth is a concern with the injury prone Westbrook on your team.
WRs: 8 PTs, Not a fan of any of the receivers, Devery Henderson shouldn't even be on a fantasy team let alone starting.
TEs: 8 PTs, Clark is great and Boss is an excellent backup.
Defense: 3 PTs, I'm not big on the Jets D, and as far as I know the Packers were awful last year on D and did nothing to improve besides BJ Raji.
Bench: 2 PTs, Not very good, no legitimate starters at all.

Overall Points: 40, #10 Overall, Love the Starting RBs and QB, but not a fan of much else.

Mac5: The regular season champ of last year who defied logic by winning week after week with the sub-100 scores. This year looked promising as he landed Brandon Jacobs in the 1st but it quickly went awry when Donovan Mcnabb was taken in the 2nd round. Honestly if not for that little bout with insanity the team looks decent, but let's take a closer look.

QBs: 8 pts, Mcnabb, as early as he was taken, isn't bad and having Eli as backup is solid. These aren't guys that will destroy your fantasy team any week, they'll just be solid.
RBs: 9 PTs, Jacobs and Ward are fine starters, but there is literally no backups. None. Felix Jones and Jerrious Norwood are backups on their teams, and probably are 5th RB options on most teams.
WRs: 10 PTs, Love Welker, he will be a beast once again, especially in this league with .5 pts per reception. Ward is a solid #2 as well, and Breaston is serviceable at #3 and possibly very good if Boldin or Fitz go down. Crayton is a solid bench guy who could be useful in the Cowboys offense.
TEs: 8 PTs, Gates is great and a great value late in the 5th.
Defense: 5 Pts, Tennessee is rock solid and Indy isn't bad backup.
Bench: 2 PTs, Crayton is the only backup WR and Jones, is the best backup RB, weak.

Overall Points: 42, #8 Overall, Not a flashy team in terms of WRs and RBs, but exceptional talent at TE and D certainly helps.

Not in the Balls: Last Year's Runner up, is pretty solid through and through. Some picks, such as #1, were homer picks, but they're not bad.
QBs: 7 PTs, Hasselback and Favre are both past their prime, some more than others obviously. Having both and playing matchups helps this team.
RBs: 12 PTs, Drew is a definite stud and Brown is a decent #2. Thomas Jones is a great 3rd option and handcuffing Ricky to Ronnie is a good call.
WRs: 12 PTs, Wayne is rock solid as #1 and Marshall if he plays and is in shape is also a #1 receiver. Holt at #3 is solid as well as having Coles and Bruce off the bench. Very good could be elite receivers.
TE: 4 PTs, Shockey is injury prone and might not even be the best TE on his own team. Has sleeper potential but not much. No backup hurts, probably getting dropped at some point.
Defense: 3 PTs, Dolphins are ok I guess, not elite, probably droppable on their bye.
Bench: 4 PTs, Solid 4th WR and solid 3rd RB, backup QB Favre isnt too bad either.

Overall Pts: 42, #9 Overall, very good at the talent positions but pretty weak at Defense and TE will hurt.

Commish: You all know this is my team, It's gonna be biased so I'm hoping one of my fellow contributors on the site will give their review of my team. But here it goes.

QBs: 10 PTs, Come on I have Romo, a clear #1 star and Carson Palmer, a possible #1 QB.
RBs: 12 PTs, I have LT, and then I have crazy depth. Mcfadden will be great just watch.
WRs: 12 PTs, Now I think I'm being modest here, AJ is the best around, Colston is #1 caliber, and Anthony Gonzalez is a fantastic #3. Earl Bennett is a solid bye week replacement.
TEs: 5 PTs, Shiancoe ain't Gates but he is solid enough.
Defense: 4 PTs, Bears are solid usually right?
Bench: 3 PTs, Solid RB backups, weak WR backups, solid backup QB.

Overall Points: 46, #2 Overall, Much love for my team, of course, I did draft it so why wouldn't I love this team? haha.

TO Ft. The Bills: Like everything but the WRs, which are mediocre at best. We'll see if this team has what it takes to make the playoffs and make some noise. He has AP, and that should help.

QBs: 10 PTs, Manning is elite and Cassell isn't bad insurance.
RBs: 12 PTs, No depth, I guess Stewart but hes hurt already, but Peterson and PT are awesome starters. Health is essential or this group could go down in flames.
WRs: 7 PTs, Mostly because I love the backups. Lee Evans as #1?? Outrageous. Looks like all #3 receivers to me. I could easily see Morgan being the best of this group oddly enough.
TEs: 9 PTs, I know the scale only goes to 8 but I'll make an exception in this case. Witten is the clear #1, and scheffler is a great #2 and possible #1.
Defense: 5 Pts, Pittsburgh is a great #1.
Bench: 3 PTs, Stewart is best backup and he is hurt so that's tough, WR depth is decent with Harvin and Morgan, Cassell is solid as backup qb.

Overall Points: 46 Pts, #3 Overall, Love the team overall, if any of the receivers come through it should be a great year. If not, Who knows.

North America's Team: I'm not sure how, but this team looks really good haha. I'm not a huge fan of Turner, but man where is the big weakness on this team? I'm not sure there is a glaring problem. Solid.

QBs: 7 Pts, Schaub is potentially elite, but we know he is injury prone and there is no backup currently.
RBs: 11 PTs, Because I'm not a fan of Turner, or Wells, but overall they all are solid. Depending on what someone thinks of Turner and Wells, this might be an elite group, I happen to think it's good not great.
WRs: 10 PTs, I like this group, and Chambers as #4 is great. Holmes and Hester need to live up to some hype but it looks good overall. Love Jennings.
TEs: 8 PTs, Gonzo is still a stud and Keller is a legit #1 as well.
Defense: 5 PTs, got the best D probably.
Bench: 3 PTs, Solid RB backups, Ok WR depth, No backup QB.

Overall Points: 44, #5 Overall, This team has some potential, it also has some bust potential with Turner coming back to earth most likely this year.

Throw The Baby
: I think this team might be the best I've looked at so far. Got some good starters, got some good backups. Looks great to me.

QBs: 10 PTs, Love Rodgers, Orton is a great backup, Looks great to me.
RBs: 10 PTs, Love Forte, not a big fan of Parker but he should be good if he is healthy. I hate Lewis, that guy can't be a legit starter in the NFL anymore can he?
WRs: 12 PTs, Very good group, not a huge fan of Smith's but he is a legit #1. Berrian should have a big year, and Mason is a perfect #3. Cotchery is probably the best #4 in the league.
TEs: 6 PTs, Miller looks like a solid sleeper I like.
Defense: 3 PTs, Patriots D ain't what it used to be.
Bench: 3 PTs, Good WR depth, RB depth is weak, Orton is solid backup.

Overall Points: 44, #5 Overall, I like this team a lot, but the lack of a legit #2 RB is a concern.

Love Canal Mutants: The Pickem Champ, surged late in the season to make the playoffs but made an early exit. Always a team that looks awesome on paper, once again looks pretty good.

QBs: 7 PTs, Roethlisberger is fine and Flacco is a solid backup.
RBs: 10 PTs, Nobody great, but very solid. Grant looks good, Rice is good if he gets enough carries, and I like benson a lot as a #3. Mccoy could be great value if Westbrook goes down.
WRs: 14 PTs, Staggeringly great WRs, 2 Top WRs in Fitz and Megatron. And to top it off Roy Williams at #3 and Vincent Jackson at #4, that is ridiculus. Love this group.
TEs: 7 PTs, Daniels is damn good and Carlson is a great backup.
Defense: 3 PTs, Chargers should be better with Merriman back.
Bench: 5 PTs, Benson is a great #3 and Jackson is the best #4 WR in the league, Mccoy could be a steal and so could Flacco.

Overall Points: 46, #4 Overall, Great receivers should help make up for shortcomings elsewhere but could be out of luck if Mid Round RBs don't come through.

Diligent Warriors: This is a solid team, not great, but not bad. Very weak at RB I'd say but everything else looks fine.

QBs: 10 Pts, Even if Collins is the backup, Brady is #1 or 2 among QBs, he won't need Collins or anyone else for that matter for anything other than 1 week.
RBs: 6 PTs, None of these guys are #1 RBs, and Addai is barely a #2. Hightower is decent and a starter, and Jackson will start at least 3 games. We'll see, doesn't look good.
WRs: 11 PTs, Moss is a great #1, Housh is a great #2, and Moore is a solid #3. Very good group.
TEs: 6 PTs, Olsen looks like a solid #1 this year.
Defense: 5 PTs, Defense looks great with Vikes and Boys.
Bench: 1 PT, Sorry not a fan. Once Marshawn Lynch comes back there is no backup RB and Collins is awful as backup qb.

Overall Points: 39, #12 Overall, Decent but unspectacular, will need the Patriots to come through week to week to have a good season.

The Lucky Pierres: Running back Heavy is an understatement for this team. Ahmad Bradshaw could start for a few teams and he is #5 on this team haha. We'll see if it works out.

QBs: 7 PTs, Ryan is mediocre, Edwards is weak, Meh
RBs: 14 PTs, easily the best group by far. Like all of them.
WRs: 11 PTs, Roddy is a Stud, Royal and Walter are decent, not too shabby.
TEs: 5 PTs, Miller is just ok, same with Pettigrew.
Defense: 3 Pts, Houston could be good, Not sold though.
Bench: 4 PTs, Only because the RB depth is awesome, that's it, weak otherwise.

Overall Points: 44, #6 Overall, Seems low but Aside from the RBs there isn't a lot special about this team.

Jigglyqball
: This team looks pretty good overall, but there isn't a backup RB at all lol, none, Lendale technically is but he also has Chris Johnson, so who starts when they're both out?

QBs: 9 PTs, Warner should be great if he is healthy, which I doubt. Good insurance in Cutler though.
RBs: 10 PTs, Love the Starters but what else is there? Lendale was good value but there has to be backups. This team has none for now.
WRs: 13 PTs, TO is still a legit #1, Ocho Cinco could be back to #1 status as well, and Braylon Edwards, although way off last year, could also be back. So 3 potential #1s! wow. Good enough for me.
TEs: 7 PTs, Cooley is just a cut below the elite guys.
Defense: 5 PTs, Ravens D is always great.
Bench: 3 PTs, Solid WR depth, but RB depth is nonexistent. Cutler is ok as backup, kinda overrated.

Overall Points: 47, #1 Overall, I believe this team has the best Starting Lineup in the league. Depth is a major concern but this team could be devastatingly good, look out.

Mrs. Manning: Last Place Finisher looks for redemption this year, will she find her way out of the gutter and into the playoffs? Or at least just out of that gutter?
We shall see.

QBs: 10 Pts,Probably the best QB in the league and Garrard to go along with, great.
RBs: 10 PTs, Not the greatest group but there is solid depth here, where there isn't on other teams. Strength in numbers should help.
WRs: 10 PTs, Boldin is a solid #1, and if Bryant is healthy he will be solid. But 3 Eagles WRs? In the immortal words of Michelle Tanner, "This is fucking nuts!", ok I added something but it was necessary. Know how many Eagles WRs have been top fantasy players over the years? Just Jackson and TO. So I like Jackson, but why Maclin? I'd take Curtis over Maclin any day this year.
TEs: 5 PTs, Not a fan of Winslow.
Defense: 3 PTs, Not a fan of Eagles D without the late Jim Johnson.
Bench: 3 PTs, Solid RB depth, WR depth is weak, Garrard is great backup qb.

Overall Points: 41, #11 Overall, Not a bad team just not great. Could be very good, I dunno.

Hope everyone likes this, took me nearly 3 hours lol. Comment and let me know what you all think.

6-10? GTFO

After checking around the site a little bit I must just say how completely taken back I am that someone could even think that the panthers will go 6-10, I mean I know we have Jake Delhomme as QB but c'mon, atleast its not brett favre!

The only 6-10 we might be this year is we might be winning 10-6 over the eagles in week 1!

The Goods....aka The Bad & The Ugly

So i went to see (the)Goods:Live Hard, Sell Hard last night and i was ready to see what all the hype had been about. I mean with all the promotion behind this movie i was thinking it could be good, hell the initial trailer had me interested. Then I saw Jeremy Piven on RAW with Dr. Ken, I had a little less excitement for the movie after that. Watching Big Brother the next night i saw mr Piven, again promoting his movie, this time some of the scenes they showed had me not nearly as amused. And finally after seeing the movie only made 5.6 million dollars opening weekend(PATHETIC?) i decided i had no intent on seeing the movie at all, but as we all learned from brett favre, never say NEVER!

So last night i went and checked out the film at the request of 2 other blog members, and i got less than i even expected. Some bits were funny, some were just plain stupid. Alot of scenes from the trailer might have been better if i hadn't seen them 100 times. Some of the jokes were good but the story was dismal, piven trying to forget his friends death by dildos and falling in love, what the fuck? I mean will ferrell might be the best part of the entire movie and he has a 3 minute cameo. Enough said, don't waste your time.

Hangover was a million times better just incase that is any help.

Michael Vick is an Eagle! Hahaha oh what fun!

Now I am not the biggest supporter of Michael Vick by any means, in fact I have wished plenty of harm upon him throughout his playing career and I laughed my ass off when he went through all the trouble with the dogs. But come on people, this is Michael Vick! As in "The Human Joystick", the legendary Madden 2004 cover boy superstar that every retard with no ability to play Madden used for every game they played! How is this not awesome?! So I'm an Eagles fanatic as most anyone who reads this site knows, and by anyone that reads this site I mean the other writers on the site, so 3 people. How do I feel that we have a convicted felon on our team? I guess I feel like a real NFL team now since we are not exactly in exclusive company, isn't that right Bengals? There are too many pieces of shit in the NFL to name them all, I'm looking at you Leonard Little, why not allow this particularly asshole to join the fraternity? 2nd chance? Nah, more like he used to be really good at being entertaining and sometimes even winning some games so he deserves a chance. We're talking about a league where Lawrence Phillips got a 2nd and 3rd chance only to now be in jail forever probably for multiple crimes. Same goes for Pacman. So I won't defend Vick on morality, clearly something is defective about the guy, but at this point I don't give a damn.
I mean who among us hasn't murdered hundreds of dogs for entertainment? *Silence*
OK, so you people are going to act like you know the Golden Rule as something other than "Do on to others as u want them to do on to u"? *Everyone nods*
OK, whatever, clearly you people are all in PETA and graduated high school, you don't have to be so damn high and mighty about it.
Just to conclude this post, I have no idea what Vick will do for us as a team. I mean if Mcnabb goes down and he's our quarterback, at least I will have fun watching us go down in flames. And as for Mike Freeman of CBSSportsline, you sir are obviously completely clueless and shouldn't have a public forum for speaking, let alone get paid for it. Eagles are disrespecting Mcnabb by signing Vick? You actually think they did this without so much as contacting him? This isn't Kevin Kolb, which I will grant you was a waste of a draft pick, this is a friend of Mcnabb's, I'm sure they have spoke and talked about being on the same team. How are you a journalist and not aware of this? I can guarantee you, Vick is not here to replace Mcnabb, he is here to draw attention away from Mcnabb, therefore reducing pressure on the Captain. Which is kinda genius when you think about it. Whatever, we got the craziest Madden offense of all time, and that alone excites me. It's wildcat madness!

P.S. Can we rename our Wildcat the Wild Dog? This has to happen doesn't it?

Until next time,

09 Season picks/news

Ok first of all I have to disagree with Mike Fly on this one.. the Eagles are far from being like Redskins and the Raiders. In fact name a time when you didn't see the Eagles in the playoff hunt? Unless the playoffs are considered a failure I don't see a valid point in comparing a superbowl caliber team to teams such as Al the Terribles' Raiders. I have to admit the whole Vick to Bills rumors had me excited. Even though the Bills denied rumors of acquiring Vick the whole time I assumed it was just a page taken out of the pesky Bronco free agent book (See Matt Cassel trade rumors). But anyway I wish Vick the best as an Eagle. The Philly fans couldnt handle TO and he never killed anything.

My picks for the 09-10 season are as follows. And yes I realize they are rediculous.
AFC:

East: Patriots 12-4, Bills 9-7, Dolphins 7-9, Jets 4-12
West: Chargers 13-3, Chiefs 8-8, Broncos 5-11, Raiders 1-15
North: Steelers 11-5, Ravens 10-6, Bengals 7-9, Browns 6-10
South: Colts 11-5, Titans 9-7, Texans 9-7, Jaguars 5-11

NFC:

East: Giants 11-5, Eagles 10-6, Cowboys 8-8, Redskins 6-10
West: 49ers 9-7, Cardinals 7-9, Seahawks 4-12, Rams 2-14
North: Vikings 14-2, Bears 11-5, Packers 8-8, Lions 1-15
South: Saints 13-3, Falcons 9-7, Panthers 8-8, Buccanneers 5-11

AFC Playoffs: Steelers vs Titans (Titans), Colts vs Ravens (Colts)
Chargers vs Titans (Titans), Patriots vs Colts (Colts)
Titans vs Colts (Titans)

NFC Playoffs: Giants vs Eagles (Eagles), 49ers vs Bears (Bears)
Vikings vs Eagles (Vikings), Saints vs Bears (Saints)
Vikings vs Saints (Saints)

Superbowl: Titans vs Saints. Saints win 38-24

Puppy Love

So the eagles have done it again, signing another over rated player to make themselves the favorite on ESPN because, lets face it, that's all they can really aim for. The eagles continually find themselves in the same class as the Red Skins and the Raiders as teams with more of a history of failure than success because they make moves simply for shock value.
First of all, Mike Vick is a horrible person (we all know this so who cares at this point). He doesn't deserve a second chance just because he went to jail, that doesn't prove anything. Actually, he probably deserves to be banned from his job like anyone else would if they had committed a felony. People are stupid enough to believe Tony Dungy's(who I could care less about) constant Vick propaganda. By the way, does anyone else think it is funny that Dungy constantly criticizes the character of Jay Cutler but says that teams should take a chance on Vick? Oh well, I guess it doesn't matter because he will slip up soon enough and hopefully then people will realize the piece of @$%# he is just like they did with his brother, Marcus.
My main problem with the situation is that he was a terrible quarterback when he last left the league and there is no way that he got better. If the eagles plan on taking McNabb off the field for even eight plays during a game for this joke than they are making a huge mistake. Lets face it, Andy Reid is not intelligent enough to incorporate a successful game plan that would allow Vick and McNabb to coexist. What will Vick bring to the table that Desean Jackson couldn't in a Wildcat formation? In the end, this move was all for publicity (or perhaps to make the eagles the best madden team ever).

I AM WILLIAM WALLACE!---2009-010 NFL Predictions

Now I would love to brag about how we were right about Mr. Gaga today but this post is about my NFL predictions and I don't think we will have any time to talk about him at the moment. Please, please feel free to debate these picks (the records are not mathematically correct I already know). I know at the end of the year we will look back at this and be amazed at how much I got right.

AFC East: 1) Patriots (13-3) The best team in the division last year will win this weak division not because Tom Brady is back but because there is simply no competition.
2)Bills (9-7) The no huddle offense will hopefully make them watchable this year and with a relatively easy schedule, they should be able to compete for a playoff spot. However, a young offensive line will be their big question 3)Dolphins (6-10) Can Chad Pennington stay healthy a whole season? Even if he does, who would he throw to? 4) Jets (5-11) New coach + rookie QB = basement 0f AFC East
AFC South 1) Colts (11-5) Still the class of the AFC South for the time being
2) Texans (10-6) My sleeper pick for the season, look for Matt Schaub to break out 3)Titans (9-7) Defiantly not the same team as last year but Nate Washington and Kenny Britt can't hurt the offense right? 4)Jaguars (5-11) This team is headed in the wrong direction. Don't be surprised if they sign Michael Vick... A few more losing seasons for them in Jax before their off to L.A. You heard it hear first.

AFC North 1) Steelers (12-4) As long as the defense stays healthy and no more women try to get impregnated by Big Ben, this team should be strong all year 2) Ravens (8-8) Expect a sophomore slump for Flacco. 3)Bengals (5-11) A lot depends on how Chad Johnson and Laveranues Coles work out and if Carson Palmer can stay healthy. My guess is all three are on the decline. 4) Browns (3-15) At least Lebron has one more year in Cleveland.

AFC West 1) Chargers (13-3) The team with one of the strongest offenses in football has the most over rated player in the league (Shawn Merriman) returning to help the defense. 2)Broncos(8-7-1) Kyle Orton will have a great year but the team is an ongoing circus. 3)Raiders (6-10) Team will only improve when Jeff Garcia takes over. 4)Chiefs (4-11-1) Like Tom Brady, we will soon find out that Cassel is a product of a great offense and just a flash in the pan.

NFC East 1)Giants (12-4) The defensive line will win them the division title as long as Manning and Jacobs stay healthy enough for the offense not to make mistakes. 2) Cowboys(10-6) Underrated defense, overrated QB...this team still has enough fire power to win some games. 3) Eagles (9-7) Problem 1: Westbrook won't stay healthy. Problem 2: Donovan McNabb still has no weapons to throw to other than Jackson. 4)Redskins(8-8) Too tough of a division for the Skins to break the .500 mark

NFC South 1)Saints(13-3) If the defense can improve just a little and the receivers can stay healthy than watch out...this team reminds me of the Greatest Show on Turf back in 2000 2)Falcons(10-6) Matt Ryan is a super star in the making 3)Panthers (8-8)Great RBs but Jake Delhomme leaves me with little trust in this team. 4) Bucs (2-14) Too bad they took Freeman this year, looks like they could have had Bradford with the number one next year.

NFC North 1)Bears (10-6) Matt Forte and Jay Cutler make a scary offense. 2) Vikings (8-8) No QB, no WR, better hope Peterson stays healthy. 3) Packers(7-9) Don't know what to make of their offense but do know their secondary is severely over rated. 4)Lions (3-13) Daunte Caulpepper should take the beating for the team this year.

AFC West(Last and Least) 1)Seahawks(9-7) Average team in a bad division but defense has improved, as long as Hasselbeck stays healthy they'll be OK. 2)Cardinals (7-9) Kurt Warner can't stay healthy two years in a row right? 3) Rams(6-10) Up and coming team under a great new coach, could surprise some people but not this year. 4) 49ers(4-12) Poor Mike Singletary.

WC Round: AFC: Colts Vs. Titans-Colts; Steelers vs. Texans-Steelers..NFC: Bears vs. Cowboys-Cowboys; Seahawks vs. Falcons-Falcons
Divisional: Patriots vs. Steelers-Steelers; Colts vs. Chargers-Chargers.....Giants vs. Falcons-Giants; Saints vs. Cowboys-Saints

AFC Championship: Steelers @ Chargers-Steelers
NFC Championship: Giants @ Saints- Saints
Super Bowl: Steelers vs. Saints- Saints

Awards: Defensive Player: Troy Palamalu Coach: Gary Kubiak Defensive Rookie: Brian Orakpo Offensive Rookie: Hakeem Nicks/Knowshon Moreno Most Improved:Matt Hasslebeck Fantasy MVP: Matt Forte MVP: Phil Rivers

11 Bold predictions for the 2009 NFL season from the Sports Fella

I am here to throw some things out there that I believe, some without any evidence or reason but also some that you may not be shocked to see at years end. Let me know what ya think.

1. Cincinatti Bengals will finish the season above .500 with a healthy Carson Palmer, a healthy Ocho Cinco, the addition of Lavernues Coles and a very underrated defense.

2. Daunte Culpepper will have a higher quarterback rating than any Vikings quarterback. Are you honestly telling me you'd rather have Tarvaris Jackson over a former MVP candidate? I'll take my chances with the guy who actually has played well at some point than the guy who never will.

3. Steven Jackson will lead the NFL in rushing yards if he stays healthy, which I believe he will for once with a much improved line in front of him. The guy is a beast with probably as much skill as anyone not named Adrian Peterson.

4. Not only will Brian Westbrook get injured, but so will rookie running back Lesean Mccoy, leaving unknown Eldra Buckley to start for my playoff bound Eagles. You heard it here first, and from what I hear the kid ain't half bad or at least is better than that bum Lorenzo Booker.

5. Arizona Cardinals will miss the playoffs. Their luck is about to run out as Kurt Warner is not gonna survive another year and Beanie Wells is going to be a complete bust.

6. JP Losman will be benched in favor of Tim Rattay in the UFL. Not a NFL prediction but thought I'd show some love to the new minor league. JP couldn't beat out Kelly Holcomb, what makes anyone think he could beat out anyone with a pulse?

7. Buffalo Bills will go 7-9 for the 4th or 9th straight year. Bills fans will play along until they're smashed by the Pats week 1 and all hell breaks loose in Bills land. Not even saying they'll implode because TO, they'll implode because they suck and made literally no improvement to their below average defense and their left tackle is a fat sack of S%#@ named Langston Walker.

8. Miles Austin and not Roy Williams will be the Cowboys leading receiver. Jason Witten will beat him in receptions but I think Austin is probably the deep threat and overall better player than Roy. Just call Roy Williams Shareef Abdur Raheem, aka a guy who posted great stats on a loser in obscurity and can't rise to the spotlight.

9. Andre Brown and not Ahmad Bradshaw will be the backup running back for the Giants. They didn't draft the guy early in the draft so he could be 3rd string, so obviously Bradshaw has fallen out of favor and just a return guy now and forever.

10. Calvin Johnson will put up better fantasy numbers than Larry Fitzgerald. Once Kurt Warner goes down, and he will, Fitzy will have trouble with Leinart's limp arm. I'm not convinced Calvin Johnson isn't the better overall receiver than Fitz, Love me some Megatron!

11. For the Superbowl I like the San Diego Chargers over the Green Bay Packers. No explanation really, just like the quarterbacks of those teams.

That's it for my predictions, I may add some more right before the season if I'm feeling up to it.

Bye for now,

My letter to right wing apologist Bob Matthews

Let me start by saying I do enjoy listening to your program in general. I'll also say I voted FOR Obama and not against Mccain. With that said I do not care what people's political thoughts are whatsoever, so I continue to be annoyed by the fact that you continue to make snide remarks about our new president, something you never did during the old regime of Bush, which was horrendus and you are a complete moron if you would say otherwise. But I was just listening the other day and when I heard you saying Obama is such a horrible president already, and I was more annoyed and confused in general. Especially when it isn't that raging buffoon Fred Smerlas, who is a big dumb animal and is pretty much unlistenable radio. Whatever the case, just stick to sports, and by sports I don't mean the Rhinos. I've already been almost exclusively listening to Schopp and the Bulldog on 950, where there is no mention of politics ever and it is refreshing. I'll just conclude with sports radio is no place for politics, not now not ever, it is supposed to be an escape from reality.

p.s. thanks for putting the jinx on my Philadelphia Eagles, as if we don't go through enough as fans.

Listener on the fence and supporter of our president,

Vincent Brugnoni

The truth shall set you free....

So with this being my first post here on ENT Blogs I figured that I would start off with a little introduction of myself. I am a founding father of the greatest blog site of all time, though communication issues(im a retard) kept me from posting until today. The creation of this blog is the result of a long night and my thoughts of lady gaga after an unnamed member of this site thought she was hot. After showing them several pictures of why i thought she was a beast i noticed something unsettling, she looked more like a man then brad pitt. Well the "rumor" has come full circle and Lady Gaga has FINALLY spoken the truth, and let it all hang out(pun intended) she is/was a man because she is a hermaphrodite. She issued this statement

I have both male and female genitalia, but i consider myself a female. Its just a little bit of a penis and really doesnt interfere much with my life.

So now where does (S)HE go from here? Well one might suggest that she go on tour with Scary Spice whom i always also thought was a man, or maybe she can be the first celebrity to put out a sex tape with just themselves? Only time will tell but for now atleast we can all rest peacefully when we hear lady gagas uber sexual songs on the radio and think, maybe she really was 1 of the hansons.

Until next time, never believe what you hear......

untill you read it on ENT Blogs.

The Roid Sox?

Ok Tizzle here, Im gonna try to post this again as my first attempt ended up erasing my entire blog. As an avid Redsox fan, I am not the least bit surprised to hear Ortiz was on the juice in '03 I mean cmon who didnt suspect him after that 50 home run season? I have always felt as though players that have been on the juice in the past deserve the same treatment as those that have been caught juicing during the season. Ortiz, as much as I love him needs to be suspended or reprimanded. What kind of message is it sending if these players continue to abuse substances, hide from the commissioner, and then get off scotch free years later. But I digress, with the playoff races heating up it will be interesting to see how the Redsox respond to the Yankees being a 1/2 game back in the standings and after adding the hot bat of Victor Martinez. I still feel as though the Sox and the Yanks finish the division 1 and 2 in any order with the other grabbing the Wildcard, I just dont see the Rays as relevant as they were a year ago. Anyway it should be a good postseason for any of you who have a favorite team that isnt the Nationals. Thats all for me today, postseason picks to follow. Stay classy

Tosh on Kevin Everett!

The sound is tough but this is a classic bit. Yes he went there.

Is Matthew Stafford the Ultimate Bro?

Move over Matt Leinart, there is a new party boy in the NFL. His name is Matthew Stafford, and yes that is a picture of him in a backwards hat giving the camera the finger. Note the pink wannabe Kanye West sunglasses as clear evidence of bro-dom. Clearly this guy has uses the word "dude" as the beginning and ending of all of his sentences. Everything about this guy just radiates douche bag, these pictures confirm that thought. This is your guy Detroit? Good luck, personally I'd take my chances with a past his prime Daunte Culpepper. Don't get me wrong the guy has some serious talent but talent is not the sole predictor of winning in the NFL. Ryan Leaf was talented, and now he's going to jail for selling pills to high school kids. All I'm saying is I'd rather have the big goofy redneck Peyton Manning than a guy that is more interested in being big man on campus and using the "Do you know who I am" argument everywhere he goes. When you're about to be the starting quarterback for a team that set the bar for losing, it'd be nice to not see you partying like a rock star. You are not a star Matthew, you are an overpaid rookie who has a whole lot to prove. Not to mention your playing in a city where almost nobody has a job and you get paid millions to party and throw a ball. So if you want to succeed in this league, I'd spend more time studying the playbook than wearing plaid shorts and looking like Matt Leinart's little brother. Oh and by the way this is not an endorsement for Mark Sanchez, who will definitely fail miserably under the scrutiny of NY.

Prediction: Detroit Lions go 5-11 if Culpepper starts the whole season, 2-14 with Stafford
New York Jets go 6-10 with whoever starts, because they are awful.

RIP Jim Johnson

With all the BS going on in sports with Favre and TO, it is easy to miss something important actually happening. Jim Johnson lost his battle with cancer at age 68, and leaves behind quite a legacy of great coaching and even better leadership. Simply put, he was a great man who happened to be one hell of a defensive coordinator. This is a man who struck fear in the opposing team's quarterback. Even in his last year coaching it was his relentless defensive pressure that helped get the Eagles back to another championship game. As I've watched over the years, the Eagles never had the most talented defenses but that wasn't a problem with such a defensive genius in Johnson leading them. In my opinion there should be a spot in the hall of fame for a guy like Johnson, whose innovative defensive schemes were the envy of defensive coaches across the league. New head coaches Steve Spagnoulo and John Harbaugh, as well as Chargers defensive coordinator Ron Rivera, owe much of their success to the teachings of Jim Johnson. So while he is no longer with us on the sideline, his impact will be felt long beyond his life.

Back Again, Tizzle Round Two

Hey everybody glad to see the steroid comment I made about Pujols revealed much more information than I expected. This week NFL camps opened up and got underway with the absence of a couple free agents who i was shocked to see not signed by now. Brett Farve (he's coming back lets face it) Michael Vick (he also is going to be playing like it or not) Plaxico Burress (even the infamous Al Davis isn't jumping the gun at him) Warrick Dunn (who needs a veteran running back anyway?) D.J. Hackett (lets face it, I have nothing bad to say about him) Marvin Harrison (retire already or head back to the Colts, cmon) and who can forget big ol' Matt Jones. With the exception of some, (Favre) these players all want to play and I see no reason why half of them are still on the board. Harrison is a future hall of famer, someone who would receive as much hype as T.O. had he been signed to a small market team with a bleak future and 9 year playoff drought (sorry Buffalo, you're still my team but we need to get it together). With that being said, look to training camp to lift some of these names off the board. With that being said I think its fair to say this year has changed a bunch of team demographics. The Colts will lose a lot of fire power this year with the removal of Harrison, the Pats are trying to recover with the addition of Brady and the Bills are trying to stay sane with tweet happy Terrell. All in all I think the playoffs have never been more reachable for teams who finished horribly in 08. This year I'm feeling the Texans as my sleeper, finishing 2-14 in 05, 6-10 in 06 and then 8-8 the past 2 years, I think this franchise has a lot to look forward to in 09.

Now to baseball. The Sox finally snapped our losing streak and managed to put together a nice little win streak before todays loss. However, does anyone else think it was incredibly dumb to trade for a first baseman with Kotsay and Youk healthy, and an outfielder with 5 already on the roster? I mean I understand the glaring need to get underperforming Julio out of the organization but cmon why not get a decent bat (La Roche isn't bad but lets face it, the Pirates aren't a great franchise) or a 3rd baseman for the future because everyone knows Lowell aint gettin any younger. With that said, I hope our chances are still good for the play-offs but I wouldn't be surprised at a Yankee surge, afterall they did pay hundreds of millions for a ring and their only 2.5 games ahead a team who practically did nothing to alter their 08 team. But thats all I'll say on that matter. Oh and heres my vote for Maxim's Hometown Hottie award, one of the only Yankee fans Ill ever like. Thats all for me today adios amigos.

Post 3: What's the deal with cheese anyways?

Mike Fly back here for my 3'rd post, sorry it is a day late. First of all, I would like to be the first to come out and say that the Nolan Ryan bashing on this site is unnecessary and uncalled for. His numbers can't be matched by anyone of his era and is clearly the best pitcher in the last 50 years. If you want to bring his name into the steroid discussion, then I will throw one back at you, Cal Ripken Jr. Just because he is a stand up guy doesn't mean that he didn't juice (see Andy Pettitte). We can't start accusing everyone of steroids because we will soon find out that everyone is a suspect. My opinion: Screw it, vote them all into the hall either way. Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa revived baseball with their chase of Roger Marris's record in 1998. Don't the deserve something for what they have done to help the MLB? Teams like the Red Sox won world series solely because of the success of players on steroids; we can't go taking away their championships so why take away the hall of fame votes for guys who never even tested positive. (And yes Boston fans, Curt, Manny and Ortiz were all juicing and you know it). Because the Senator who put together the steroid probe, George Mitchell, is from Maine and an avid Sox fan, he wouldn't dare list any of their players. My point is, the whole system is messed up and anyone could have done steroids; Pujols is not out of question.

Oh well, that was mostly in response to Cricket's last post, I don't have much left to talk about today. I will be back tommorrow to talk about some camp predictions as I will be checking out the circus that they call the Buffalo Bills training camp. Last thoughts: MMA orginization "Affliction" has folded and will now become a clothing line for the UFC. This means that the best heavyweight fighter in the world, Fedor Emelianenko, will soon get the opprutunity to destroy Brock Lesnar. Rumor also has it that ESPN could start covering UFC shows within the next year. This is probably terrible news because ESPN destroys almost anything they touch (ie: NHL).
And if anyone is wondering who the girl is, it was my vote for Maxim's hometown hottie, Amanda from Rochester, NY....yeah I am a homer but who cares.

I remember this paper fondly...

Albert Pujols eats baby fetuses, Nolan Ryan was a juicer, and more...

This is a response to Tizzle's post about Mr. Pujols. I think it is ridiculusly naive to believe that just because Pujols is crushing balls out of the park at a blistering pace that he is on steroids. That is very dumb, they test for it now, as evidenced by the rest of the league. Clearly he is not doing steroids, that is far below the true evil of Pujols, which is he eats dead baby fetuses. Sorry is that shocking to you people in this ignorant world? It is clear something is up. We joke about him being "The Machine" in commercials but what if that is just the way to cover up the reality that Pujols is a creature from another planet or a bionic person built by the government. But anywho there is another guy that has managed to avoid all of this too.

Nolan Ryan is overrated and was on steroids late in his career. Guess how many world series he won in his 27 years in the league? 1, and it was as a reliever. How do we let this go? And what about the fact that he won 20 games only twice in his career. I mean clearly he was great but I don't even think he is in the discussion with best pitchers ever, nor most dominant. And what about him being a power pitcher into his mid 40s? What the hell is that about? I know if Randy Johnson struck out 300 in season when he was 42 we would throw him under a bus for sure. If Roger Clemens can't survive then Nolan Ryan would surely not. Steroids were around in the 80s too people, don't be stupid.
(Yes he really did sign it "Don't Mess With Texas" like a true redneck.)

By the way I also hate Brett Favre, and he continues to make it easier every day. How does anyone at all respect this guy at this point? He is more indecisive than a fat girl with too many flavors of ice cream to choose from at Coldstone. He is without a doubt the biggest tool in sports that isn't committing crimes. The reason he is so indecisive? He realizes he is a horrible quarterback and needs a perfect situation to make him look good. Why is he struggling with becoming a Viking? maybe he is realizing that Aaron Rodgers and the Packers might just whoop his ass and embarrass him in Green Bay. That would just be too much for giant ego that is Brett Favre. So a big F U to Brett Favre, you sir suck at life.

And heres my pick for Hometown Hottie:

I expect Tizzle and Mike Fly to post your picks too at http://www.maxim.com/hotties

Post 2

This is Mike Fly here with post 2.0. Not alot to talk about this week but there is a few things on my mind:
Just as I was about to write this post blasting ESPN for they're constant love affair with Manny, Vick and Favre, I saw an article claiming that they had issued a "do not report alert" on the Ben Rothlisberger sexual assault case(http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/07/21/source-espn-issues-do-not-report-alert-on-roethlisberger-story/) if you don't believe me. This is the exact same alert that they posted to their staff nearly a year ago when Jay Glazer reported that Brett Favre was tipping the Lions in effort to beat the Packers. Now I am the last person to usually accuse ESPN of being racist as I find their reports to be almost so anti-racist it is suspicious; example: when they accused Larry Bird of being a racist for having too many white players on the pacers (Imagine if they accused the dodgers of having too many black players on their baseball team; it would be intolerable) However, in this case I cannot find any other reason that ESPN would be protecting Ben, when they are constantly bring out information on Pac Man and Brandon Marshall, other than race. I don't know if it's racist or not but one thing is for sure, ESPN is picking and choosing what qualifies as news based on who they would like to protect. I am fine with them not covering any off the field controversies but if they cover one, they have to cover them all. This is just more proof that ESPN is just Disney's best attempt at sports entertainment and it's time for a rival network to emerge.

The sports world is slowing down, Mark Madsen somehow made the bottom line over the weekend and JP Losman is relevant for the day as he joins the UFL. however the Yankees have finally taken the lead of the division, a lead that they will hold on to the rest of the year as their pitching will continue to heat up. The Phillies are hot in the NL right now but I still think Roy Halladay would put them over the top and lead them to another NL title.

I am split on what to think of Terrell Owens' new TV show. On one hand TO can be hilarious and entertains me to no end. However, you have to put up with his bitchy "publicists" the entire show while they yell and nag at him. Hopefully they don't ruin the show or at least can tone it down a little because I would watch TO sitting in his house all day if thats what the show is about.

That is all for this week, hope I wasn't too offensive; at least I didn't accuse any women of being men this week. Look for my next post to be on Saturday where I will cover my Pre-NFL camp predictions starting with the AFC then the NFC followed by awards predictions. Last thought: I'm happy to see that we have another member of our site, Tizzle. Because he is a Red Sox fan, we can only hope that he keeps his thoughts on baseball to himself as they are probably no good for this site. Either way, welcome aboard.

Fresh Tizzle Post

Hey guys I'm Tizzle. Just a little background info on myself before I dive into whats on my mind today. I'm a competitive athlete and I might spend more time watching sportscenter then any other show on tv. I follow just about any team in any sport but my favorites are the Bills, Celtics, Sabres, and Redsox. I like long walks on the beach and skipping through fields of daisies. Good, now that you all know me, has anyone else's red flag been raised at the fact that Albert Pujols has already hit 30+ homers this season? i mean I'm sure it wasn't estrogen pills (thanks Manny) but as a concerned fan for the sport of baseball, shouldn't someone be looking into this or are we gonna overlook it like we did A-Rod only to find out the dude was on roids 6 years later. Personally I feel as though teams should have a designated roider, in place of a designated hitter, that way there is always one guy to break up a no hitter or add some points on the board in the extras of a 1-1 tie game. Lets face it, there is no way the commish Mr. Bud Selig will be able to battle steroids, this is a matter even Obama and Congress cant tackle so you know what they always say, if you cant beat em, join em. In other news, Michael Vick was released officially from prison. My predictions: Vick does not look like he wants to play in the UFL and who can blame him, his options will be limited if he isn't reinstated before camps are over which doesn't look feasible with camps days away. Vick's best option: train his little heart out and hope he finds a cat loving owner before the trade deadline to get some touches in the NFL this year. That's all for me I'll leave you with the greatest team of all time. enjoy!

Ok so theres a couple ugly ones! We can't all be perfect!

ESPYs: Monster waste of time...

Why does the this show exist? The Sport's version of the Oscars my ass, the best part of the show is when the athletes are not on stage. Athletes are boring as hell, even guys like TO have zero stage presence and Michael Phelps looks like a retard up on stage. I've never in my life talked with friends about the ESPYs, because nothing happens on it and it is all scripted garbage. Give Phelps all the rewards you want it isn't going to make me care about him anymore until 2012. Not to mention I've never seen someone as uncomfortable with jokes as Serena Williams, way to not look like you understand anything. Not to mention King James was mysteriously absent, I feel like that guy has went into hiding since getting dunked on. And is Big Ben getting fatter? The guy has to be the most out of shape QB this side of my boy Mcnabb. For gods sake aren't professional athletes supposed to look athletic?

Second of all I'd like to formally announce my ongoing boredom with Ultimate Fighting. Just does not do it for me. Something about 2 guys wrestling on the ground for 20 minutes, seems pretty gay. Especially when the supposed best fighter, George St. Pierre, is a canadian who wears biker shorts and talks like Pepe Le Pew. It may be a look inside myself but the only part I enjoyed was Dan Henderson attempting to murder Michael Bisping. I definitely love seeing a guy get seriously knocked the F%$# out.

3rd of all in response to Mr. Mike Fly (Welcome by the way), After watching that fight I'm not sure Mir deserved my weekly paycheck for the beating he took. Mir disappointed me so much with his pathetic performance and that fight was easily a huge waste of time. It is completely pathetic when a so called "sport" is more about Lesnar popping off after the fight than the actual fight itself.

Thats all I got for this week, Since I've dissed the UFC plenty, here is a lovely lady who also fights, enjoy!
